Physical Therapy is Nevada’s largest home health endorsement by raw count, held by 292 of the state’s 306 home-health agencies, but it’s one of the slower-growing categories: only 25.7% of Physical Therapy-endorsed agencies were licensed in the last two years. Pharmaceutical Services, the smallest endorsement at just 26 agencies statewide, is growing fastest at 34.6%, followed by ISO certification at 30.8% and Home Health Aide at 30.2%.
The nine endorsements in Nevada’s export
Nevada’s 723 licensed home care agencies include 306 with home-health licenses, and the state’s endorsement records split their services into nine lines: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Medical Social Worker, Speech Therapy, Skilled Nursing, Home Health Aide, Nutritional Guidance, Pharmaceutical Services (home infusion), and Intermediary Service Organization certification, the last of which sits on personal care licenses, not home health ones. Ranked by size, Physical Therapy leads
By raw count, Physical Therapy tops the list with 292 agencies, followed by Occupational Therapy (286), Medical Social Worker (277), Speech Therapy (273), Skilled Nursing (261), and Home Health Aide (258). Nutritional Guidance (79), Intermediary Service Organization certification (65), and Pharmaceutical Services (26) round out the smaller tier.
Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy, the three rehab endorsements, all sit in the top four by count; only 19 agencies separate the largest of the three from the smallest. Skilled Nursing, at 261, is the endorsement line for registered nurse and licensed practical nurse work in the home: wound care, medication management, and monitoring of a chronic or post-surgical condition. 45 of the state’s 306 home-health agencies skip it, and 43 of those carry a therapy or aide endorsement instead, so the state record lists a therapist or an aide for them but no nurse.
Ranked by growth, the list looks different
Re-sort the same nine endorsements by what share of their agencies were licensed in the last two years and the order comes close to reversing, with one exception at the bottom. Pharmaceutical Services (home infusion) leads at 34.6%, from the smallest base on the list, followed by ISO certification (30.8%), Home Health Aide (30.2%), and Skilled Nursing (29.9%). The therapy endorsements that lead the size ranking sit near the bottom: Speech Therapy and Medical Social Worker at 26.0%, Physical Therapy at 25.7%, Occupational Therapy at 25.5%. Nutritional Guidance, third-smallest by count, is the exception: slowest of all, at 21.5%.
For a family searching today, the therapy endorsements are still the easiest to find, simply because 250-plus agencies hold each of them. The growth numbers describe where capacity is being added next, and right now that’s home infusion, ISO certification, and aide services.
Endorsements sit on top of the base license
Eight of the nine appear only on a home-health license; none of the 417 agencies licensed for personal care alone carries one. ISO certification is the exception: 64 of its 65 holders are licensed for personal care alone, and the 65th holds both licenses. One license can carry several endorsements at once, which is why 292 agencies show up under Physical Therapy and 261 under Skilled Nursing out of the same pool of 306. The reverse holds too: a home-health license on its own tells you nothing about which services the state record lists for that agency.

Growth rate measures what share of agencies in that category are newly licensed, not total count. Pharmaceutical Services has only 26 agencies statewide, but over a third of them (34.6%) were licensed in the last two years, so the category expands faster than larger endorsements even though therapy services still have far more providers overall.
Is Intermediary Service Organization certification really a home health endorsement?
Not in practice. It shares an endorsement line with the other eight, but 64 of the 65 certified organizations hold a personal care license only, and the 65th holds both. Its growth rate, 30.8%, puts it second only to home infusion.
Are therapy endorsements growing slower than other types?
