About NevadaList
I'm Nicolas Sartor. I live in Henderson, and I built NevadaList because finding a business you can actually trust in Nevada is harder than it should be. Search results are full of paid placements and generic review sites where anyone can leave a five-star rating for a business that doesn't even exist. None of that tells you whether a business is actually licensed to do what it says it does.
NevadaList is a directory built from Nevada's own state licensing records instead. Every listing here holds a real, checkable license — the license number, its current status, and what the state has authorized it to do are all pulled directly from the regulator's own export, not typed in by the business and not guessed from a website. If a business shows up here, it's because Nevada says it's licensed to do the work.
Why I started with home care
The first category live on NevadaList is home health and personal care agencies — Henderson, Las Vegas, Reno, and the rest of the state. It's a category where the stakes are genuinely high: families are trying to arrange care for a parent or a spouse, often under pressure, and the difference between a properly licensed agency and one that isn't matters a lot more than a search engine ranking. Nevada's licensing board already does the hard work of verifying who's actually authorized to provide that care. My job is just to make that record easy to find and easy to read.
More categories are coming as I build them out the same way: pick a Nevada licensing board that keeps real, exportable records, and turn that record into a directory a local resident can actually use.
What "verified" means here
It means the license fields — number, status, category, endorsed services — come straight from the state's own licensing export, refreshed on a regular schedule. It does not mean I have personally inspected every business, and it doesn't mean a business is good at what it does — only that it's licensed to do it. Read the methodology page for exactly what that covers and what it doesn't.
Who this is for
Other Nevada locals looking for a real answer to "is this business actually legitimate," without wading through paid ads or reviews that can't be verified. If that's useful to you, that's the whole goal.
